Currently there are no regular services at Yandoit: parishioners join with All Saints Newstead. Services are held in local hospitals and hostels by the parish and other churches in the district. The parish maintains links with missionaries in Pakistan and Chile .

Our Parish Community – Who Are We?

Some are farming families of long standing; some commute to larger towns to work; many have moved into the district in search of a life more attuned to the environment, maybe wanting to live sustainably. Our centres are marked by thriving community activity and social activism, rich in opportunities to experience the arts and explore our history, valuing the past while wanting to understand what the land and its heritage can become.

Spirituality links all these areas. We aim to help people see the fundamental creative Spirit underpinning all life through the prism of the arts, through care of Creation and of one another, and by honouring our history as we discover our future together.

Our Vicar – The Revd Fiona Goy

Fiona believes that the message of Jesus calls us to abundant life. The church gathers as Christ’s Body, loving and respecting each one, offering hospitality to all. We seek to bring in God’s reign of love and justice, making a difference in the wider society wherever we find ourselves. It is a journey of continual growth, looking to the Holy Scriptures, the traditions, research, and our experiences. It involves questioning, and often doubts, along the way.

Before her ordination the Revd Fiona was an occupational therapist and manager in health. She worked in Melbourne and in rural and remote settings, taking leadership and advocacy roles on behalf of clients and the profession. She is the mother of three young adults of whom she is very proud. She has a keen interest in music and feels privileged to be charged with the care of souls in this parish.
